Obituary of Carolyn M. Trumbull

Mrs. Carolyn M. Trumbull, 87, of River Road, Fort Plain, NY, passed away peacefully on March 5, 2024, surrounded by her family.
She was born on October 28, 1936, the daughter of Joe and Marion Young Prall, who predeceased her.
She graduated from Fort Plain High School and went to SUNY Oneonta, where she studied until she married her husband. On February 23, 1957, she married Roger Allen Trumbull. This union lasted 55 years until his passing on December 3, 2012.
She was a mother and homemaker while helping her husband on the farm.
She was of Methodist faith.
She loved all the flowers around her home, caring for her animals, sewing, and gardening.
Besides her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, Leonard Prall.
Carolyn is survived by her two daughters, Teris Trumbull and Alaine Gifford; her son, Brian Trumbull; sister, Loretta Byrne; four grandchildren, Aaron, Kaitlin, Evan, and Taylor; one great-grandchild; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
The family will receive friends and relatives on Saturday, March 16, 2024, from 1:00-3:00 PM, with a funeral service at 3:00 PM at the Houghtaling and Hanley Funeral Home, 20 Otsego Street, Canajoharie, NY 13317. The family will be gathering at the Canajoharie-Fort Plain Elks, Old Station Road, Nelliston, NY 13410, following the funeral service.
