Donato, 75, of Donato Road, Canajoharie, New York, died, Friday morning, March 5, 2010 at Albany Medical Center Hospital. Born on August 1, 1934 in the Town of Seward, NY, she was the daughter of Marvin Bellinger and Ruth Zea Bellinger. She was a graduate of Cobleskill High School and a lifetime area resident. Mrs. Donato was a mother and homemaker in her own home in the town of Root, while helping with her family farm. She loved to take care of her pets and gardening. Mrs. Donato enjoyed needlework and embroidery in her younger years. She also took pleasure in poetry and fishing. On April 1, 1952 in Amsterdam, NY she married Peter Donato. He preceded her in death on January 20, 1994. She was also predeceased by her brother, Harold Bellinger. Mrs. Donato is survived by her four sons, Peter C. Donato of Canajoharie, NY, Marvin J. Donato of Canajoharie, NY, Carl P. Donato of Nelliston, NY, Richard M. Donato of Canajoharie, NY; three daughters, Ruth C. Scott of Town of Seward, NY, Rose L. Donato of St. Johnsville, NY, Debbie A. Trombly of Orlando, FL; brothers, Marvin Bellinger, Jr. of Town of Seward, NY, Harry Bellinger of Howes Cavern, NY; sister, Evelyn Tripp of Cobleskill, NY; five grandchildren and 3 great-grandchildren as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
