Morrison, 93, of Kingsboro Ave., Gloversville, New York died, Monday evening, February 1, 2010 at Nathan Littauer Nursing Home following a long illness. Born on June 30, 1916 in Canton, NY, she was the daughter of Berton Poole and Flora Ione Moore Poole. Mrs. Morrison was a graduate of Canton High School. She had also attended St. Lawrence University. Mrs. Morrison had resided with her daughter in Gloversville for the past 12 years; previously residing in Sprakers. She worked in the Wells House in Johnstown in the kitchen area for 6 to 7 years. Mrs. Morrison also worked for Beech-Nut for about 10 years. She was of Protestant faith. Mrs. Morrison was an avid reader. On July 7, 1953 in Vermont, she was married to Frank Morrison. He preceded her in death on April 22, 1982. Mrs. Morrison was also predeceased by all her siblings. Mrs. Morrison is survived by her daughter, Sally Kwak and her husband Richard of Gloversville, NY; grandsons, Richard Kwak, Daniel Kwak, Steven Kwak all of Gloversville, NY; sister-in-law, Marjorie “Peggy” Poole of Binghamton, NY; niece, Betty Jones of Canajoharie, NY ; nephew, Alan Jones of Canajoharie, NY; as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins.
